The Art and Craft of Watchmaking                                                     by Matt Henning

Matt Henning is a specialist in the fabrication of watch parts.  He places particular emphasis on creating a replacement part that is identical to the original, both mechanically and cosmetically.  The goal is to restore the intent of, and to keep faith with the original manufacturer, whether the watch was made 400 years ago, or ten.  In doing so, Mr. Henning has developed an intuitive understanding of the mechanisms common in horology, as well as a practical sense of how the craft of watchmaking has changed over the years.
