18 Oct 2017 10:56 AM | Justin Shiver (Administrator)

The 2017 Annual Business Meeting and Educational Seminar was October 4, 2017. The day started with the Educational Seminar presented by Mr. Ernest Tope, CMW21. The first part of the presentation focused on the history and development of chronometer timepieces. Mr. Tope engaged the class in a discussion sharing his experiences while servicing/restoring several types of chronometer watches. The second part of the seminar focused on the utilization of CAD-CAM technology in the restoration of timepieces. Mr. Tope presented an overview of the basics of CNC and CAD-CAM. This was followed by a demonstration of making a setting bridge and ratchet wheel using a small CNC milling machine.

During the business meeting, elections for new Officers were held. Please join me in congratulating the newly elected Officers.
