President's Message

05 Jul 2017 8:37 AM | Justin Shiver (Administrator)

I would like to begin this message by announcing Mr. Ernest Tope, CMW21 will be presenting this year’s Educational Seminar on October 4 at the Doubletree by Hilton Tampa Airport – Westshore in Tampa, Florida. Mr. Tope has served the club in various leadership positions over the years and has spent over a year developing this year’s program. Please keep a close eye on club communications as more detailed information about the presentation will be coming soon.

It has been almost three years since I was first elected President of The Chronometer Club. As stated in the club’s bylaws, a member may not serve more than three consecutive terms as President. It has been an honor to serve the club as President, and now it is time for another member to take over this leadership position. The elections of officers will be held at the Annual Business Meeting on October 4, 2017. If you are interested in serving as an officer, please review the club’s bylaws for the requirements and responsibilities associated with the club’s leadership positons. I will be glad to assist any member who is interested and may have questions.

As stated in the recent forum announcement, activity on the Yahoo Group will come to a close on August 31, 2017 and beginning September 1, 2017, all forum communications will be hosted on the Member’s Forum at www.thechronometerclub.org. I ask for your patience during this transition process. I am confident as you become more familiar with the Member Forum’s capabilities, you will agree it offers a platform that addresses the needs of all members. If you have any questions or need assistance during this transition, please do not hesitate to contact me or other members of leadership.
