In November 2014, leadership began the process of transitioning all club communications through the club’s website. It is now time to take the final step of this process. Activity on the Yahoo Group will come to a close on August 31, 2017, and will move to the Member’s Forum on Members will continue to have access to information posted on the Yahoo Group prior to August 31, 2017, but beginning September 1, 2017, all forum communications will be hosted on the Member’s Forum.

The Member’s Forum was launched in December 2015 to offer club members a platform for broader horology related discussion, while respecting the wishes of those who only want to engage in technical discussions. The Member’s Forum accomplishes this by offering each member more control over the content he/she chooses to view. Settings for Daily, Weekly, or Immediately posting notifications are accessed through email subscriptions (edit profile) under each member’s profile. These settings are similar to the delivery options available through the Yahoo Group. The ability to subscribe to topics of interest is what sets the Member’s Forum apart from the Yahoo Group. The Subscribe to Topic function allows each member to subscribe to topics of interest and avoid topics they do not wish to view. It is this ability that allows the Member’s Forum to host technical and non-technical horology related discussions for the benefit of all members.

In addition to allowing members more content options, the Member’s Forum also offers a platform to promote club sponsors.  These features are still under development, but in the near future, the logos of club sponsors will be displayed on the forum. In addition to the display of sponsor logos, advertisers will have the capability to attach a link to their logo to allow members to view promotions or advertisements being offered. These capabilities should make it more convenient for club members to access and support the sponsors of the club.

Members of leadership will be available to assist those who have questions or need assistance during this transition. Contact information for the club’s Officers is available at
