Justin Shiver asked me to post this message for him.

Dear members,

This past year has been challenging and very exciting. Several changes have been made to the operations of the club that I believe will be beneficial moving forward. All club communications have been moved to a digital format. This change allowed the introduction of free membership, which in turn sparked a significant growth in membership. As membership continues to grow, this will allow us a greater opportunity to assist each other as we strive to elevate the levels of craftsmanship and standards of watchmaking. The club also introduced our bloggers and will be presenting an educational seminar at this year’s annual meeting.

While much has been accomplished, there is still much work to be done. The club needs your help. The election of officers will be held at this year’s annual meeting. The annual meeting is scheduled for September, 30 2015 from 5-6pm at the Hotel Phillips in Kansas City, Mo. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Dennis Warner at dwarner6@austin.rr.com to have your name added to the ballot. You do not have to be present to enter the election.

The club offers opportunities to serve in the following elected positions:

President

Vice President

Secretary

Vice Secretary

Treasurer

We also have a need for members interested in becoming bloggers. The Chronometer Club blogs offer a great platform for you to share your experiences as a watchmaker. If you have discovered a new repair technique, invented a new tool, documented a repair or restoration, or have another horological topic you would like to share with the club, please contact me at weagle09@gmail.com or Ernest Tope at thechronometerclub@gmail.com.

In conclusion, while much has been accomplished this past year, there is still much work to be done. Please volunteer and assist The Chronometer Club with enhancing the level of craftsmanship and elevating the quality standards of watchmaking.

Respectfully,

Justin Shiver, CW21

President
