19 May 2015 9:21 AM | Justin Shiver (Administrator)

I am pleased to announce that on September 30, 2015 Tom Schomaker will be presenting the educational seminar at The Chronometer Club annual meeting in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. Schomaker is the watchmaking instructor at The American Watchmakers Clockmakers Institute. He has a great deal of experience at all levels of watch repair and is notably recognized for his talent, passion, and thorough method of instruction. He received his initial watchmaking training at the Ohio Valley Watchmaking Institute, and later became their instructor. Mr. Schomaker earned his AWCI Certified Master Watchmaker designation in 1981 and upgraded his certification to CMW21 in 2006.

Mr. Schomaker regularly contributes to learning seminars and lectures at AWCI's Conventions and its Affiliate Chapters. He has been working for months designing an exclusive new training program for the members of The Chronometer Club. I am grateful to Tom for the time and effort he has dedicated to designing this program. There are still some details that must be worked out, and the specifics of the program will be announced soon. I would encourage you to go ahead and reserve the date of September 30, 2015 on your calendar.

I hope to see you in Kansas City.

Justin Shiver, CW21
